Job Description:
The Registered Dietitian is an integral part of the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide specialized individual care to adolescents and adults with eating disorders. Under the (appropriate) general supervision of the Medical Director, the Registered Dietitian provides nutritional assessment, oversees and coordinates patient dietary care including nutritional re-feeding of Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa patients. In collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team, the Registered Dietitian will lead nutritional groups, coordinate nutritional assessment, plan and implement strategy of care for each patient. Evaluate the patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes, revising the plan as indicated, per policy. Registered Dietitians will also supervise and implement meal service and ensuring the kitchen complies with all guidelines and regulations associated with food safety and sanitation.

Candidates must have, or be willing to develop, strong therapeutic nutritional skills, be a part of a therapeutic treatment team and enjoy an interdependent work environment.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree from an American Dietetic Associate (ADA) accredited program; Must have a National certification by the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian; Must maintain CEU’s as required for certification renewals. Have an ability to develop weekly menu, budget, shop, and prepare daily meals. Have an understanding and ability to adjust and modify menu based on individual cultural and caloric requirements. To create and edit menus to ensure that meals meet the nutritional needs of patients. Provide a variety of foods to help patients succeed in the process of recovery and relapse prevention
